Our first question isn't "what sauna do you want" but "where do you live". Because in Jakarta, your type of home decides which unit makes sense — from electrical capacity to building management approval.
The most generous canvas: dry saunas for up to 6 people, outdoor cabins in the garden, a plunge on the patio — 7,700–11,000 VA supply is usually already there. Anything that makes noise, like chillers and pumps, we hide in the service room; the wellness area itself is left with nothing but the sound of water.
The favourite format: a 2–4 person sauna off the master bathroom, with a compact plunge out back. We put the PLN power maths in black and white before any deposit is paid — not after the walls are already open.
A 1.7–2.4 kW infrared cabin with fanless, near-silent panels, or a compact sauna whose frame is decoupled from the unit's walls with a damping layer — vibration never travels to the neighbours. We prepare the approval paperwork for building management.

Yes, via the right route: a free-standing 1.7–2.4 kW infrared cabin is approved almost every time, because it doesn't strain the building's electrics or touch the structure. A compact dry sauna is sometimes possible in a penthouse. We unpack the requirements, management approval and limits in our apartment sauna guide.
A sauna actually has few noise sources: dry heaters and infrared panels run without fans, so all that's left to manage is vibration and the ice bath chiller. We break the vibration path with a damping layer between the cabin frame and the unit's walls; the chiller goes in a service area or utility balcony. The result is a 10 pm session that can't be heard from the next room, let alone the unit below.
We prepare the paperwork: unit specifications, an electrical load diagram, an installation method with no structural drilling, and a work schedule that follows the building's renovation hours. Yes. We wire in two routes during installation: a dry contact your smart home integrator can tie into your home scenes, or the heater manufacturer's Wi-Fi module for app control. In practice it's simple: the cabin starts heating as you leave the office, and the target temperature is waiting when you arrive.
A dry sauna spreads its load through its frame and is rarely an issue. What we calculate seriously is the ice bath: a full tub plus its user can reach 400–600 kg over a small footprint. Our survey checks the slab type and beam positions first, and spreads the load on a platform where needed — nothing gets ordered until those numbers are clear.
For the occasional dip, minimart ice works. For a regular ritual, do the maths: 15–20 kg of ice per session in Jakarta's heat outspends a chiller within months. A ½–1 HP chiller holds 3–15°C around the clock with filtration — details on the ice bath / cold plunge.

For an infrared cabin (1.7–2.4 kW) and an ice bath chiller: almost always, yes. A 6–9 kW dry sauna heater needs 7,700–11,000 VA — the upgrade is paid by the owner at PLN's official rates, and we walk the paperwork through for you. We calculate it all free at the survey, before any decision is made.
Our timber construction, insulation and installation — written into the contract, not a verbal promise. Heaters and chillers carry the manufacturer's official 1–2 year warranty with spare parts through us. Before handover there's always a joint test: the sauna heated to full and the water taken down to target temperature in front of you.
Not a problem — sauna ventilation doesn't rely on windows. What it needs is circulation: an air inlet near the floor and an outlet on the opposite side, which can vent into the adjoining room or use the bathroom's existing exhaust run. After a session, the door stays open briefly so the air conditioning sweeps out the residual moisture. What we actively avoid is cutting through the facade wall — buildings almost never approve it, and it genuinely isn't needed.
Yes, because the cabin arrives as modular panels, not one finished box. The panels are sized to pass a unit door and a standard passenger lift; if the building has a service lift, it's quicker still. Assembly inside the unit takes a matter of days within the building's renovation hours, and at the survey we measure the lift and corridors too — so there are no surprises on delivery day.

October brings ever more regular afternoon rain, and renovation calendars in many apartment buildings fill up towards year-end. Owners who want a cabin installed before the December holidays should file with building management now — applications complete with technical specs and a work schedule tend to be processed faster. The three questions we still get asked most:
What matters isn't the total kilograms but how the load bears. A cabin spreads its weight through its frame; what we always check seriously is the filled tub. The survey confirms a safe position before anything gets ordered.
A sauna needs air in and air out, not windows. We route it through the spaces you already have — and post-session moisture is directed so your unit's AC doesn't work overtime.
Building management judges documents, not intentions. A complete application with technical specs and a schedule matching renovation hours almost always moves faster — and we prepare the file.
