The sauna + ice bath package is two units installed as one contrast therapy room: a dry sauna on one side, a chiller-cooled cold plunge on the other, non-slip flooring between them, and one electrical system powering both. Indicative price IDR 100–200 million depending on configuration, 3–5 weeks of work, and a 2-year construction warranty across the whole package. This page explains why ordering both at once differs — in cost, design and the end result — from buying two products at different times.
Why one room, not two projects
The first reason is practical: money. Two separate projects mean two surveys, two team mobilisations, two electrical jobs each opening up walls, and coordinating twice. Combined, the shared components are paid for once. In our quotes, the saving is usually enough for a full accessory set or a step up in interior timber grade.
The second reason is design: distance. Contrast therapy works best when the hot-to-cold transition happens in seconds — the body still carries its full heat when it meets the water. A sauna upstairs and a tub in the back garden create a one-minute gap that drains the effect. A room designed as one puts the plunge edge three or four steps from the cabin door, over flooring that's safe for wet feet.
The third reason is habit: friction. A ritual that takes fifteen minutes of preparation dies within a month. A ritual you simply step into — heater switched on from the panel, water already cold because the chiller never sleeps — lasts for years. We build for the second version.
Layouts proven to work
Covered or semi-open patio — the South Jakarta landed-house favourite: sauna against the house wall, plunge on the outer side draining into the garden, a canopy sheltering both. A repurposed indoor room — an old storeroom, second garage or rarely used guest bedroom turned into an air-conditioned recovery room: sauna, plunge, a resting bench. Rooftop — the penthouse and PIK-house choice: dawn sessions facing the sky; we check the roof structure and water routes first. Basement — rare in Jakarta but it exists: it needs proper mechanical ventilation, and delivers the quietest room of them all.
At the survey, the technician brings a tape measure and the same questions to every option: can the floor take a full tub, where do the fill and drain pipes run, where does the chiller breathe, how does the cable get there from the main panel, and how do two large units reach that spot.
Configurations and pricing

Indicative figures from 2025–2026 projects; the final number depends on materials, chiller class and site conditions. Each component is detailed on the custom sauna construction and ice bath / cold plungepages, and its price position among our other products in the price table.
Power and water for two units at once
This is where joint planning pays off most. The sauna heater is the big load (6–9 kW, wanting 7,700–11,000 VA); the chiller is light (400–900 W). Planned together, both go on one sub-panel with their own breakers and a single ELCB — not two installations that don't know about each other. If your PLN supply needs upgrading, the process is handled once for the final requirement, not two separate applications.
Water follows the same logic: the plunge fill line, the drain and the wet-floor fall are planned before a single board goes in. The transition floor uses non-slip decking with drainage gaps — wet feet go from plunge back to sauna with no puddles and no incidents.
For business clubs, boutique gyms and recovery studios
Half the orders for this package come from businesses — and the fastest-growing share is members' clubs and premium coworking around SCBD and Sudirman, where a contrast room becomes the reason members renew. Their needs differ from a gym's: the room sits next to workspaces and meeting rooms, so sound insulation enters the spec from the first drawing — the sauna frame decoupled from the building structure, the chiller boxed into a ventilated plant room. The controls have to be practical too: scheduled heating a receptionist can run from one panel, or tied via dry contact into the building's automation, so the cabin is at working temperature before the busy hours.
For boutique gyms and recovery studios the adjustments are more classic: sauna capacity rises to 8–20 people with a three-phase heater, the plunge becomes two units side by side so there's no queue, and every component — hinges, benches, chiller — is specced for 12-hour daily use. Our commercial quotes are written line by line with full technical specs, ready to take into an investor or landlord meeting. The survey and those documents are free; you pay when you decide to build.
The build sequence: 3–5 weeks
Week one: survey, layout design, the quote, and — after the 50% deposit — ordering the imported timber and chiller. Weeks two to four: electrical and pipework, cabin assembly, tub and liner installation, the transition floor. The final week: commissioning — the heater tested to working temperature, the chiller pulled down to target, filtration running, and you do your first contrast cycle with our team still on site.
Handover closes with a single 2-year construction warranty for the whole room — not two warranties from two vendors pointing at each other when something goes wrong. How to use your new room — temperatures, durations and a weekly rhythm — is already written up in our contrast therapy guide and sauna health benefits.

We also install this package for boutique gyms and business clubs; the full commercial spec — capacity, three-phase power, building permits — is on the commercial sauna and ice bath page.
