Building saunas in South Jakarta is our shortest route: the team is based in Kebayoran Baru, so free surveys for Cipete, Cilandak, Kemang, Pondok Indah and the SCBD–Senayan corridor usually get scheduled within days. What we install here is the most varied in DKI — custom dry saunas, ice baths and full contrast packages — at the same price ranges as everywhere else: IDR 15 million for a prefab unit up to 200 million for a family contrast room.
Why South Jakarta orders the most saunas
Part of the answer is demographic: the capital's wellness culture is centred here. Yoga studios in Cipete, boutique gyms in Kemang, running crews gathering at GBK every weekend — southerners already know saunas and ice baths from commercial venues, and eventually reach the logical question: why queue when you could own one?
The other part is architectural. South Jakarta is still rich in landed houses with gardens — a luxury growing rare in the north and centre. A two-storey Cilandak house with a side yard has everything a sauna project needs: space, a material route, and owners who are staying long-term, so a 60–120 million investment makes sense as part of the house, not an impulse buy.
What we install here most
Custom 4-person dry saunas lead the way in Cipete, Cilandak and Pondok Indah family homes — usually off the master bathroom or filling the corner of an old laundry area. 2×2 m, a 6 kW heater, cedar or thermowood, IDR 60–120 million.
Sauna + ice bath package is growing fastest, especially in homes whose owners frequent the Kemang or Senopati boutique gyms and want their daily contrast ritual moved home. A southern back patio almost always fits the compact configuration — details on the sauna + ice bath package.
Infrared cabins most often heads to two addresses: penthouses and premium apartments along the SCBD–Senayan axis — the panels run fanless and nearly silent, and switch on from a phone on the drive home — and older houses whose power hasn't been upgraded yet. Installed in 1–2 days without touching the building's structure.
A standalone ice bath is often the way in — installed on the patio first, the sauna following six months later. If you already know you'll want both, ordering the package from the start is cheaper, because the survey and electrical work are combined.
Old houses, new houses: two electrical stories
South Jakarta has two generations of houses with different needs. 1980s–90s homes in Radio Dalam, Cipete or Gandaria often still subscribe at 2,200–3,500 VA with wiring as old as the house. For a dry sauna, the route is a PLN upgrade to 7,700–11,000 VA (paid by the owner at official rates, paperwork handled by us) plus a new SiHF cable run with its own breaker and ELCB. For those unwilling to wait on PLN, an infrared cabin runs the same day on the old supply.
New houses and townhouses in Pondok Indah or Kemang's small compounds usually already run 5,500–11,000 VA — a dry sauna can often be costed straight away with no upgrade. Certainty always comes from measurement at the survey, not guesswork: our technician records the installed capacity and the home's peak load before the quote is written.
Cold plunges in South Jakarta: Kemang, Pondok Indah and Cilandak rooftops
Half the south's cold-water demand comes from houses with a rarely used roof deck. Kemang and Cilandak rooftops suit a timber tub with a chiller, being far from the neighbours' bedrooms — but three things get checked first: the deck's load with the tub full, the drain route to a gutter or channel, and shading so the chiller doesn't fight the midday sun. At Pondok Indah houses with big yards, the tub more often stands beside the swimming pool, sharing the existing water and power runs.
The users vary: runners doing morning training around Senayan, families pairing the cold tub with a sauna, owners of small home studios. The price matches every other district — a complete tub with chiller at an indicative IDR 45–90 million. Specs, components and monthly upkeep are laid out on the Jakarta ice bath and cold plunge page.
Pricing for South Jakarta
Our numbers are one set for all of DKI — there's no special "southern price": a custom 2×2 m sauna IDR 60–120 million, the budget variant from 40 million, infrared 30–70 million, steam rooms 50–100 million, a complete ice bath 45–90 million, contrast packages at an indicative 100–200 million. The only thing that differs in the South is the logistics line in the quote — proximity to our Kebayoran Baru base puts team and material mobilisation at its lowest. The full product table is in the pricing page.
Surveys from our Kebayoran Baru base
This district is our own backyard, so we know its small print: what hour a box truck can enter a Kemang lane without hitting the cafe queue, which Pondok Indah compounds require weekend work permits, and how to get a 2.4-metre timber panel past a narrow Cipete carport. Boring knowledge like this is why our installation schedules rarely slip.
The process is standard: send photos of your room or patio via WhatsApp, name the neighbourhood — Gandaria, Cilandak Barat, Senopati, anywhere in the South — and the team comes to measure for free. From there you receive a visual and a line-item quote, then decide at your own pace. We serve your neighbouring districts the same way: Kemang which we cover separately because its character deserves it, Central Jakarta for the apartment corridors, and West Jakarta across the city.
